Parts List
|
This is an approximate parts list. Without dismantling the
model it would be impossible to give an absolutely
accurate parts count, but if you are considering
attempting this model this should be close enough to get
you started. A text file which can be imported as an
inventory directly into MeccInv 8.0 can be downloaded here. The "Total" column
gives the overall requirement and the later columns break
this out according to the various sections in the
description.

For the long axle rods I used
#20 oil hardened drill rod. This is 0.161" in diameter,
which is 0.001" over the nominal Meccano size. However
because it is very close tolerance there is no problem
with standard parts fitting. Some replica brass parts may
be tight in which case they can be opened out with a
reamer - I use one with a diameter of 0.1615". Both
the drill rod and the reamer can be obtained from www.mcmaster.com.
